3rd National Championship Win for Ben Greenwood
02.11.05: On Sunday 21 year old cyclist Ben Greenwood added the National Hill Climb Championship to the under 23 Road Race and Time Trial titles he won earlier in the season. Ben’s first Senior Championship win came on the notorious Rake a severe hill in Ramsbottom, near Bury. Ben beat 5 times National Champion Jim Henderson on a day which had started with torrential rain and continued with gusting winds. [More]
Oliphant Takes Warrnambool Grand Prix in Australia
24.10.05: Recycling.co.uk/MG XPower/Litespeed's Evan Oliphant won the inaugural Warrnambool Grand Prix in Australia yesterday. Evan out sprinted Poland's Artur Krzeszowiec and British rider Kristian House to take the $3,500 race. The 23-year-old Scott was active throughout and was a member of a 3-man early break that swept up the majority of the intermediate sprints. [More]

17.10.05: Recycling.co.uk/MG XPower/Litespeed's World Champion's Chris Newton and Rob Hayles shined at Revolution 9 at the Manchester Velodrome on Saturday night. The double champions looked resplendant in their rainbow jerseys with Chris Newton winning the Devil and the Points races and Rob winning the 1km Madison Time Trial with GB teammate Mark Cavendish. Greenwood Blasts Mountain Time Trial in Sun Tour
15.10.05: Recycling.co.uk/MG XPower/Litespeed's Ben Greenwood stormed to 8th place on Stage 6 of the Herald Sun Tour yesterday, a super tough mountain time trial up to the summit of Mt Dandenong. Greenwood who is known for his climbing ability finished 41 seconds behind stage winner Dave McCann (Ireland) and beat many seasoned professionals up the 11km climb. [More]
Fonzy in the Action Down Under
13.10.05: Recycling.co.uk/MG XPower/Litespeed's Russell Downing spent the majority of the longest stage of the Herald Sun Tour in Australia at the front of the race in the mammoth 176km fourth stage yesterday. Fonzy joined a group of six riders in the opening kilometres of the stage from Mitchelton Winery to Marysville with the group gaining more than four minutes at one point. [More]

Manning Takes Two Titles at National Track Championships
07.10.05: Recycling.co.uk/MG XPower/Litespeed's Paul Manning completed a double at the National Track Championships at the Manchester velodrome last night, winning the individual pursuit two days after taking the gold medal in the points race. Manning beat two teammates, who took silver medals, Dean Downing in the points race and Rob Hayles in the pursuit. [More]
Greenwood Completes Domination of Under-23 Domestic Scene
26.09.05: Recycling.co.uk/MG XPower/Litespeed's Ben Greenwood wrapped up the overall win in the National Under-23 Road Race Series on Sunday. The 21-year-old from Lancaster has now completed a clean sweep of all under-23 road competitions this year, also winning the Road Race Championship, the Time Trial Championship and the under-23 competition in the Premier Calendar Series.
