2001: "I think we've got just the right blend of experience and youth," said one of the men who put the squad together, new joint manager Neil Stephens. "We've got young riders like Bradley, Marlon Perez, Russ Downing, Mark Scanlon and Ondrej Fadrny; then we've got some proper clout with Sciandri, Dominguez, Cuesta and the others."
His partner Sean Yates added, "Our first consideration when we look at a rider is his willingness to work for others and commit himself to the team. We've got 19 guys here that are all ready to do exactly that."
The team features ten different nationalities, including seven from Britain and Ireland, and three each from Australia and Spain.
